The District of Columbia court bio is plain: Chief Judge Boasberg “served a seven-year term on the United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court beginning in May 2014. Appointed by Chief Justice John Roberts, he was the Court’s Presiding Judge from January 2020 to May 2021.”
The FISC’s own compiled list of current and past judges (July 2025 PDF) records Boasberg, District of Columbia, FISC start May 19, 2014, and a presiding-judge window beginning January 1, 2020, through May 18, 2021. That is a court roster. It is not a secret indictment of any target.
The Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General’s Crossfire Hurricane review examined four FISA applications targeting Carter W. Page. That report is a primary document about the FBI’s applications. It is not a personnel file that names Boasberg as the line supervisor of those applications. Do not upgrade an OIG finding about the Bureau into a claim about this judge’s personal authorship of the Page warrants.
Just the News later published commentary tying his FISC service to later Trump-era immigration orders. That is labeled reporting and commentary in the related posts. The fact on this page is the appointment and the dates.
